Bethesda wants to bring more games to Switch after Doom and Wolfenstein 2

This is one of the editors most committed to the Nintendo console.

Few were expected to announce games as powerful as Doom or Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus on modest hardware like the Nintendo Switch, however, Bethesda made them a reality in the last Nintendo Direct. Considering that the company had previously confirmed the arrival of its successful The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to Switch, it is without a doubt one of the publishers that more support is giving to the console. In an interview with the VentureBeat portal, Bethesda VP of Marketing and Communications Pete Hines explained that it is not a sporadic and isolated release, but there is a willingness to bring more games to Switch in the future.

"Honestly, we've had a lot of conversations," Hines explains. "Nintendo came to see us before we revealed Switch to show us what hardware was like, what they wanted to do with it. We have been in contact with them constantly, and not only about the two games we have now, but about our position on the platform from now on - what we can do, best practices, things that fit well, what like what we do ". It's all part of a relationship beyond two games for Bethesda. "Obviously, we're excited about these games, but it's not about doing these two games, and that's it. We want this to be the beginning of a relationship we create with Nintendo and its fans. "

Also, Hines sees in Switch the possibility to clothe own games in synergy with existing ones. "Being Breath of the Wild the colossal success it is, we're hoping to see things like 'hey, if you like open-world role-playing where you can explore and do what you want, Skyrim might like you.'"
