Nintendo Switch will have Joy-Con with Mario crosshead and Zelda

Under Hori's signature and the Nintendo license, it will be designed for the portable mode.

The accessories firm Hori has revealed a new control for Nintendo Switch that can be purchased in stores from September, at some point still unspecified. It is a left Joy-Con with a traditional crosshead that will come in two different editions: one from the Mario series and another from the Legend of Zelda series.

The cost of the product is $ 25, something that will surprise many. The reason why it cuts so much the price of a Nintendo Joy-Con is that it will omit the Bluetooth connectivity, the gyroscope and the SR and SL buttons. In other words, it is a controller designed to play exclusively in portable mode, something that could come especially well in games such as Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection.

Hori has also responded to some users who claimed that this Joy-Con consumes the Nintendo Switch battery too quickly, indicating that it is a consequence of leaving the controller connected when the console is in sleep mode. So turn off the console correctly or disconnect the device when you're not playing, if you're interested in getting it.
