Valkyria Chronicles 4 will have DLC, in addition to reserve incentives

Sega will publish a demo of the game in the coming days.

In the last hours, the internet has been plagued by new information about Valkyria Chronicles 4 as a result of a presentation event that Sega has organized in Tokyo, and that some Japanese fans are sharing on social networks. Among the highlights, we find an official confirmation that the strategic RPG will have downloadable content that will be announced in the future, although the DLC offered as a reserve incentive cannot be acquired in any other way.

According to the fans themselves, the game evokes sensations similar to those of the first video game in the franchise and has the greater complexity of character development than the previous numbered deliveries. The variety of scenarios has also been underlined: around half of them are snowfields, leaving the other 50% with locations still to be unveiled. The CANVAS engine contributes to this, which has been optimized to ensure good performance on PS4. Its managers have preferred not to mention the version of Switch in this event.

Sega confirms that it will publish a demo of the game in the Japanese PS4 digital store on February 26 so we will need a native account to download it from the West. However, the version shown in the event was not from this demo, but from the final version of the game. This invites us to think that its development has finished or is very close to finishing. Valkyria Chronicles 4 will arrive sometime in 2018 to PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
