Nintendo Switch would be the fifth most sold device in the US in 2017

According to this analysis, the console would have surpassed the 15 million units sold worldwide.

A new commercial analysis collected by the portal USA Today places Nintendo Switch as the fifth best-selling technological complement of 2017 in the United States. The study, which is signed by the analyst of GBH Insights Daniel Ives, puts in 15 million units the sales harvested by the hybrid console throughout the year, although the latest reports from Nintendo only pointed above 10. If so, Switch would have already surpassed the global sales of WiiU, demonstrating again the success it has achieved compared to its predecessor.

Attending the rest of the publication, above the console would be the Apple Watch in fourth place with 20 million units, the Amazon Echo Dot with 24, the smartphones of Samsung Galaxy S8 and Note 8 with 33 million units and an overwhelming figure of 223 million iPhone sold in all its combined models.

It is worth emphasizing the fact that this analysis comes from a third party and that it does not have to correspond with the actual sales numbers, but rather reflects an estimate or approximation presented by the firm. It is expected that Nintendo will pronounce throughout the month of January to give official data based on what was harvested during the Christmas campaign.
