Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Find rare Core Crystals and get new Blades

Do you want to improve your arsenal with new Blades? In this guide, we show you where to get them.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a slow game. We know. You will spend approximately 15 hours accompanied by common Blades until you can get more. How do you do this? What do you want other Blades for? Let's take a brief look at this guide.

The Blades are weapons that help you in combat and fulfill tank, healer or specialist roles, and there are as many generic as a score of special Blades. To have a good arsenal, you will need some objects: primordial crystals and enhancers.

Most of the Blades you get are generic, but you have chances of getting better weapons if you use more rare crystals. The crystals have oddities of common, rare or legendary, which leads to a necessary question: "Where do I get rarer crystals?" Moreover, the answers to this question are variable. Some Blades - like Roc or Wulfric - and crystals are obtained by playing the main campaign, while others are given as a reward for doing side quests. You can also get primordial crystals in chests or as a reward when killing enemies, although this is pure RNG and as odds rule such.

How to use the primordial crystals to get Blades?

Select "Blades" from the menu.
Choose "Bond Blade" and a pilot.
Use a primordial crystal and apply enhancers to change the elemental affinity of the Blade.
Wait for the game to give you your new Blade.
