Nintendo has made official the registration of a new patent
in the World Intellectual Property Organization dated last Thursday, which
involves a robotic walking device. As can be seen in the images, the robot
would stand on two legs and would have an upper module and a lower one. In
addition, it would move with simple kinetic energy and would not need any fuel
to make it work. We accompany the news with a video of a similar prototype, but
that has no connection with Nintendo's plans.
It is difficult to determine if this robot will ever be
produced and marketed under the seal of the company, nor is it clear whether it
will have any kind of compatibility with the digital entertainment world. Yes,
it seems more reasonable, instead, to focus on the range of products Quality of
Life (QoL) for which the former president of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, had bet in
2014 and that today has not been formally released in the market.
