The cross-game of Minecraft arrives at Nintendo Switch in 2018

It will allow you to play with PC users, Xbox One, and mobile devices.

Mojang has announced that its popular Minecraft, in its version for Nintendo Switch, will allow cross-play with PC users, Xbox One and mobile devices on a date still to be finalized throughout 2018.

"The Switch community will receive a new version of Minecraft with cross multiplayer, but not until 2018," they report from the studio, now owned by Microsoft. "Nintendo has been a great partner, and we are very excited to add Switch players to this option," they added in their statement.

The long wait is due, says Mojang, who want to "make sure" that they offer "the best possible experience" for all players. In this sense, they conclude, the idea of watching the Nintendo Switch players sharing adventures with users of other platforms is "exciting."
