In the end, everything
will depend on what the fans want.
In spite of the good results harvested with the fantastic
Metroid: Samus Returns of Nintendo 3DS, the ones of Kyoto do not plan for now
to work in new remakes based on this veteran franchise ... although it is a possibility
that they do not close of form.
"It all depends on the reasons you have to take a challenge
like this if there are any need and motivation," said one of
the parents of the saga, the brilliant Yoshio Sakamoto. "For the moment I
have no plans to work on another remake," says the Japanese creative, who
has been involved in the development of Samus Returns with the Spanish team
MercurySteam.
"I think we need to
invest some time to consider whether the fans want more remakes, or if they
prefer to go ahead with all that implies," Sakamoto concludes.
Of course, as far as Metroid goes, we can expect Metroid 4 Prime on the Switch.
