We recently heard about Square Enix's intention to recruit
staff with the idea of working on a Dragon Quest game with Unreal Engine 4 and,
most voices, pointed out that this could be due to the version for Nintendo
Switch Dragon Quest XI.
In fact, we already knew that the PS4 edition would use the Epic Games tool, but that same
decision was still unclear for Nintendo's hybrid gaming console. Finally, the
own Yuji Horii, the creator of the series to the complete, has confirmed it in
an encounter Unreal Festival East 2017 in Japan.
Doubts were mainly because
the Japanese company's latest machine version has not yet been shown, and some speculated that this might
be due to a lower visual quality for the company.
