A version of Star Wars Battlefront 2 on the Switch is "unlikely."

EA will consider this version of the game "if they see opportunities."

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 adds to the long list of games that "could reach" the Nintendo Switch, according to GameSpot David Robillard, the producer at Motive Studios. "This is something we will consider if we see opportunities, but it is not something we are working on right now."

The latest console sales reports boosted potential customers to 4.7 million for a market that is strange to many publishers today. Bethesda has already wanted to venture into such scalable titles as Doom or Wolfenstein 2, and while many independent games triumph in the online store, larger ones prefer to be left out for the time being.

EA also tried its luck last month with a conversion of FIFA 18, which was between lazy and doing its job, and while the console did not receive the support of Frostbite in this installment, it is likely that the commercial results decide how profitable to develop a version built specifically for Switch hardware.

At the moment, SW Battlefront 2 will appear on PC, Xbox One and PS4 on November 17.
